| L'ambone della chiesa di San Martino in Riparotta Provincia di Rimini - Italia La chiesa di San Martini in Riparotta, antica parrocchia esistente già dal XIII secolo, ubicata appena fuori Rimini, merita una visita per più di un motivo. Dal 2000 al 2004 l'edificio è stato oggetto di una ristrutturazione ad opera dell'ing. Giuseppe Ferri, dopo essere stato raso al suolo durante la seconda guerra mondiale e successivamente ricostruito sulla medesima struttura muraria, visibile ancora oggi, mantenuta affine all'involucro originario. La risistemazione ha dato alla chiesa una veste settecentesca con finestroni studiati appositamente per illuminare gli interni che richiamano gli antichi palazzi del XVII secolo. Coro e soffitto sono stati resi più bombati, mentre di fattura recente sono gli archi: grazie ad essi l'interno della chiesa ha preso 'movimento'. Colpisce, inoltre, per eleganza, l'ambone, la struttura sopraelevata da cui vengono proclamate le letture, recentemente decorato con le figure dei quattro evangelisti dalla pittrice riminese Antonietta Corsini. L'artista, specialista in tecniche pittoriche antiche e collaboratrice dal 1999 dei Musei Vaticani per la produzione di opere d'arte custodite nella Pinacoteca, ha incentrato la sua ricerca sul recupero dei procedimenti tecnici utilizzati nelle pitture e nella miniature antiche, allo scopo di evocare suggestive atmosfere ed ottenere effetti pittorici inediti. L'ambone di San Martino in Riparotta si presentava originariamente come un mono- blocco di gesso a forma semicircolare, inserito in un contesto determinato. Per conciliare passato e presente, l'artista, nel 2009 ha ideato un'iconografia moderna, utilizzando le tecniche antiche. Le figure simboliche dei quattro evangelisti sono coronate da aureole interrotte dalla croce ed inserite su uno sfondo decorato con ali piumate. Queste ultime costituiscono la parte più preziosa del ciclo decorativo, in quanto incise sul gesso e poi colorate con oro zecchino in foglia, mentre il blu, colore spirituale per eccellenza, è stato scelto per ideare gli evangelisti e il fondo della cornice a motivi floreali che li racchiude e che è ispirato ad un dipinto di Giuliano da Rimini conservato al Museo della Città. "Ho pensato ad uno spazio che riflettesse la luce bella della chiesa - spiega l'artista - e al tempo stesso ho voluto creare un angolo movimentato da due diversi tipi di luce, una più calda e dorata e una più argentea e lunare. L'ambone del resto è i luogo dove viene letta la Parola di Dio, riconoscibile in quell'Ala che accarezza e accompagna l'uomo nella vita di tutti i giorni". Cinzia Tedeschi |
The Ambo in the Church of San Martino in Riparotta Rimini Province - Italy San Martino in Riparotta is an ancient church already existed since XIII century, just located on the surroundings of Rimini. It is worth of a visit for more than one reason. From 2000 to 2004 the Church was renovated by engineer Giuseppe Ferri. It was destroyed during world war II and rebuilt on the same wall structure, still visible nowadays. The original cover gives an 18th century look. The big windows give more light evoking the airy buildings of XVIII century. Choir and ceiling have been made rounder, whereas the shape of the arches are modern and seem to give a kind of movement. Futhermore, the superelevated ambo, where the Holy Scriptures are read, strucks for its own elegance and has been decorated by Antonietta Corsini in 2009. The subjects of the decoration are the four Evangelists. The artist is specialized in old painting techniques and she has been working for the Vatican Museums since 1999, reproducing artworks housed at the Vatican Picture Gallery. Her work is focused on the research and recovery of the ancient painting techniques used in the ancient paintings and miniatures, with the intention of evoking suggestive atmospheres and obtaining unique effects. Originally the ambo was a semicircular monoblock made of chalk, located in a defined space. Merging past and present the artist has created a modern iconography utilizing ancient techniques. The simbolic figures of four evangelists are crowned with halos. In the centre there is a cross, whereas the backgrounds is decorated with feather wings. This is the precious part. The feathers are engraved on gesso and gilded with genuine gold leaf. The evangelists are coloured with blue since it is a spiritual colour. The floral motive of the frames is ispired by an art work of Giuliano da Rimini, housed at the museum of Rimini. "I've thought on a space which would reflect the nice light inside the Church – explains the artist – and at the same time I wanted to create an atmosphere with two different type of lights; one warmer and gilded and the other one silvery and lunar. The ambo is the part of the Church where the Word of Lord is read and it is recognizable through that Wing which caresses and shelters mankind". Cinzia Tedeschi |
